Couroc Trays
I wish I could explain the beauty of a leave on a tree, the splattering of water down a mountain and the craft on a couroc trays. Designing couroc trays is a good skill and requires a great effort in arranging all the elements for an artist. And it is like an honor for someone to be rewarded a couroc tray. Although it sounds like a failed 60′s product but it is the most unusual kitchen item used for serving. History of couroc trays
Couroc was actually a company that made trays most popular in 60′s and 70′s. But now it has gained back its popularity. Couroc was born in 1948 to Guthrie Sayle and Moaira Wallace in Monterey, California. Guthrie made the plastic resins while Wallace did the designing part of wonderful pictures of animals, trees or made designs with coins, wood or metal. The company started hiring local artists and as it grew, they expanded the choices of products they make. They are now producing platters, glass, and bowls too.
What to know before buying Couroc trays
Buying couroc trays online are really difficult as a photo can make a bad tray look good and a good one look bad. Always buy from a trusted seller, or websites that you can rely on. Keep in view a few things before buying:
* If it has dull finishes it is more likely to be worn out.
* Dirt can hide flaws underneath.
* If left in sun it is to degrade easily. If it seems a little whitish then avoid it.
* If the tray is made of metal, watch for corrosions.
* Couroc coins are usually made of brass and silver, they are not made of precious metals such as gold so don’t be fooled.
* Couroc trays are not easy to pack and cheap to ship, if the shipping fee is low, make sure the seller takes proper care of your product.
